However, this part of the larger series has one aspect that the others do not-a large mirror placed in the lakebed reflecting other angles of the land and sky. Murray Fredericks considers his landscape photography series, “Vanity,” as just one aspect of a larger body of work, a project for which he has spent fifteen years shooting in southern Australia’s remote Lake Eyre-Kati Thanda. The exhibition program expanded to include large-scale contemporary artists and the gallery remained a fixture in Chelsea for over twenty years. In the late 1990’s Robert was the first photography gallery to relocate to the new art neighborhood of Chelsea, settling into a 6,000 square foot space. Striking out on his own in 1985 Robert launched his first public gallery from a townhouse space on Manhattan’s upper east side from where he exhibited artists such as Ansel Adams, Walker Evans, Robert Frank, O. in the mid 1970’s, he then went on to direct the LIGHT Gallery in New York, one of the earliest public galleries established exclusively for the promotion of fine art photography. Robert began working with pioneering dealer Harry Lunn in Washington D.C.

He has placed significant works in major museum, corporate and private art collections. Robert has been instrumental in launching the careers for many artists as well as enhancing the collectability and value of many established photographers. This week marks one year since the company announced its Live and Work Anywhere policy, and now, it's time to gloat.With over 40 years in the fine art photography market Robert Mann has played a key role in establishing an international market for both classical and contemporary photographs.

"It was this opportunity I couldn't not take," says Kissell, an internal events planner formerly based in San Francisco. The thought came to her: Why not just stay on the boat? When Carrie Kissell learned that her employer, Airbnb, was letting people live and work anywhere, she was on a sailboat off the coast of Key Biscayne, enjoying some time off with her partner. "When the workday was over, I'd close my laptop and you know, go snorkeling," she says.
